i got my first #bitcoin from my my late Hacker friend Dennis Moran who sent it to me over IRC usong Pidgin's OTR off-the-record cypherpunks PGP plugin , he told me this would be worth billions and i can mine it woth my cpu, sadly he died a few years later in 2014 and apparentky took 10,000+ Bitcoins with him . i wish he could have been alive to see what woule have happened with btc and how it woule be more than just a darknet currency.

heres his wikipedia oage and wired magazine stories about his hacking exploits where he took down ebay yahoo airforce bases and DARE among many other targets in 2001 (before 9/11) and was about to unleash a dns botnet that woule have taken down the entire internet for a while-he told me how he just loved the idea of one man being able to cause billions of dollars in economic activity ro be lost and the powerful feeling he loved having that much control over the world, reminded me of the scene at the end of fight club. We looked up to him in irc and he invited me to groups not for hacking but just for pyschedelic drugs. it was a great time with real life meetups at members homes/raves
